I’m Daan Rodenburg, a sound designer and composer based in Amsterdam.

I make sound for brands and film: sound design, music and sonic branding. Most of it runs through Ambassadors, a creative production company in Amsterdam, where I’ve worked on campaigns for clients like Google and KPN.

The work I like best is the invisible kind. Nobody walks out of a cinema humming the sound design, but get it wrong and everybody feels it. So most of my time goes into things you are never meant to notice: how a crowd breathes, how a room sits behind a voice, why one mix feels expensive and another does not.

When I’m not doing that, there’s TRANS:T, my own electronic project. That’s where the louder ideas end up.
